Fight Right's ComeBack Kid
Why the ComeBack Kid?
At the beginning of the 2022 school year, Chase became paralyzed with anxiety about school. Everyday was a battle trying to get him to school, trying to get him to stay at school, attempting to homeschool him, re-enrolling him in school, weekly counseling sessions, visits to diagnosticians, many hours of grief and loads of time amidst panic attacks. A friend suggested we try enrolling him in martial arts, a different friend suggested the best family friendly martial arts place she knew of.
It wasn't easy starting martial arts. Chase has never really been interested in sports, and he definitely was pretty nervous trying something so new, different, and with a bunch of people he didn't know.
The Belt Promise Exchange
“This belt represents a promise I’m making to you and that you are going to make to me.
If you promise to show up, work hard and do your best. We promise to teach you everything we know about martial arts and to help you become the best version of yourself. You have to promise to show up, and not give up.” – Chris Cagle
Show Up & Not Give Up
It would be nice if this was the part where I shared that from the day Chase started Fight Right, everything started going great… but that is just not how life works. We made a commitment to "Show Up & Not Give Up" and a ton of sweat, tears, and exhaustion went into and continues to go into Chase going to Fight Right twice a week. Chase gradually stopped having panic attacks at Fight Right. Not long after that, Chase stopped having panic attacks at school. We are beyond proud to say that the beginning of 8th grade is drastically different than the beginning of 7th grade. Fight Right kept their end of the promise, to help Chase become the best version of himself. He is still growing, changing, building confidence, strengthening his mind and his character. We are very proud of the progress he has made and are extremely grateful to Chris Cagle and his Fight Right School.

We hope that you will help us raise money to help another child in NEED of Fight Right just like Chase needed it. The money raised goes directly to Fight Right's Scholarship Fund. Thank you for sponsoring Chase!
